What to Wear |

| In order to take an exam, the correct ballet dance wear must be worn which carrys the BBO logo. There is no pressure to buy the leotards immediately but in due course they are recommended as the pupils will need them for exams (should they wish to take them) and a well turned out class promotes a more professional approach to learning ballet. As there is no exam for this grade, no specific leotard is required, however, the Helena leotard (as detailed below) could be purchased in preparation for their first exam (pre-syllabus). A pink cross over wrap ballet cardigan is useful to keep them warm.
Pre-Syllabus, Pre-Primary and Primary Grades The classical ballet uniform is the same for Pre-Syllabus, Pre-Primary and Primary classes. Blush Pink Leotard with Skirt Attached (with BBO Logo) Pink Ballet Shoes with elastics - Satin are needed for examinations but Leather are fine for weekly classes. Pink Ballet Socks Optional - Pink cross over wrap ballet cardigan - useful for the start of lessons to ensure they are warm. Please speak to Miss Lorraine about ordering the leotard as she can order one for you.
Grade 1, Grade 2 Ballet, Grade 3 Ballet Lavender BBO Leotard (with BBO Logo) Pink Ballet Tights Pink Ballet Shoes with Pink 3/4 Inch Ballet Ribbons - Satin are needed for examinations but Leather are fine for weekly classes. Adult Tap/Ballet Class Wear anything you feel comfortable in for tap/ballet class, leggings or jogging bottoms and a shirt. Ballet shoes are recommended to buy in due course as are tap shoes.
Funky Dance Classes / Street Dance / Cheerleading T-shirt or top and either Jazz Pants or leggings are best to wear for these classes. Jazz pants can be bought from any dancewear shop. Jazz Shoes are also highly recommended for footwear for these classes. Either black or white.
Gymnastics Leggings, tshirt and bare feet are recommended for Gymnastics to begin with in due course the Delphinium long sleeved Leotard (£20) can be purchased through Miss Lorraine
