LOVEBALLET DANCE COMPANY SCHOOL REGULATIONS

Observance of the following rules, regulations and policies is implicit in the acceptance of a place in the School. The School reserves the right to refuse entry to classes if you do not wish to comply with these rules. The School reviews and amends its policies and regulations on a regular basis and advises parents and teachers to read this document thoroughly to ensure a clear understanding is gained.

Please contact the Principal, Lorraine Day if you require further information. Please visit our contact page on our website for contact details. We ask that Parents/guardians give one term's notice via email to the Principal if she/he wishes to leave the school, stop or change any classes.

ENROLMENT

All new students are required to complete the online enrolment form and must receive an email notification from us confirming registration before attending class. This includes free trial classes.

FREE TRIAL CLASSES

Please bring your notification email as confirmation of your free trial place to show your teacher. This is required to attend your first class. If you do not have your notification email with you to show your teacher, we reserve the right to not allow you / your child to attend the class.

NOTICE TO CHANGE OR TERMINATE

Students attending the school who wish to stop attending a class or start a new class are required to give the school one term's notice. All class changes must be authorised by the Principal and all requests must be made to the Principal via email.

FEES

All fees are payable within 14 days of invoice date. A £10 late fee will be applied to any fees that are outstanding after the 14 day period. Fees are non-refundable and will not be returned because of absence.

APPROPRIATE DRESS FOR CLASS

Students are required to wear the official uniform for dance classes. Please do not wear jewellery in class; this includes watches, earrings and face jewellery & ensure hair is tied back off the face. For security reasons, we recommend you do not bring valuables to the school. Mobile phones must be switched off, and the teacher has a right to confiscate mobile phones if used within the duration of the class. Your child will receive the mobile phone after the lesson ends. No chewing gum is allowed in class.

It is the parents’ responsibility to ensure their child’s clothing is named and to check when leaving that they have all their possessions with them. The school is not responsible for any losses incurred on the premises. Please let the teacher know if any items have been lost or left behind as they may be in the lost property box at the end of class.

TERM AND HOLIDAY DATES

All term and holiday dates are posted to the membership section of our website and also communicated to students and parents via email. Term and Holiday dates are also available in the studio foyer area. LoveBallet Dance Company run classes in line with Warwickshire school terms where possible, although we cannot help circumstances which may alter this.

CLASS ETIQUETTE

At no point must students or parents enter the studios when classes are in progress, unless in exceptional circumstances. Parents are invited to wait inside the foyer of the dance studio.

EXAMINATION ENTRIES

LoveBallet Dance Company is an accredited dance school with BBODance. It works towards the highest standard of dance training. Pupils have the opportunity to take examinations only when the Principal believes the pupil has reached the required standard for exam entry.

EXAMINATION FEES AND PAYMENT

An email will be sent to all pupils who are ready to take their examinations with an accompanying invoice for examination fees. For customers who register with Go Cardless, our payment solutions provider, the examination fee will be automatically processed by LoveBallet Dance Company on the invoice due date. For customers who do not register with Go Cardless, please ensure you pay the examination fees by the invoice due date or the student will not be submitted for the examination.

ADDITIONAL CLASSES

Examinations require a lot of hard work, dedication, regular attendance to class and additional classes when needed to ensure the student is at the appropriate level by the examination date. These classes are scheduled in addition to syllabus classes and charged separately.

THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE

LoveBallet Dance Company reserves the right to end a student’s attendance at the school at its sole discretion. Termination is for the following reasons: non-payment of fees, incorrect dress or unacceptable behaviour.

CLASS CANCELLATION

In severe adverse weather conditions or public health outbreaks beyond our control, we may have to cancel classes. There is no refund given for a cancelled class in this situation, but you are offered to attend an additional lesson the following week.

CHILD PROTECTION

LoveBallet Dance Company have a duty of care to safeguard all children. We aim to provide children and young people with appropriate safety and protection that attend the School. We abide by The Child Protection Act 2004.

All parents/guardians must be present to collect their children immediately after class. Once out of the lesson, parents are responsible for their children.
If your child needs assistance going to the Toilet, please stay in the Foyer for the duration of the lesson. If you are not present, another parent might be asked to take them if they need assistance.

We do not tolerate any behaviour that results in bullying or discrimination. The school will give a written warning via email to the parents/guardians of any student who displays unacceptable behaviour. At the discretion of the Principal the school reserves the right to refuse admission.

USE OF PHOTOGRAPHIC AND FILMING EQUIPMENT

LoveBallet Dance Company uses photography and film to showcase the achievements of its students and for promotional and advertising purposes. All shows that LoveBallet produces are recorded for the benefit of parents and the school.

From time to time parents may be invited to record classes or performances in the studios at the discretion of the teacher or Principal. However, LoveBallet Dance Company operate a policy that protects families that do not wish their children to be photographed or filmed.

If you do not wish for your child to be photographed or recorded, please let the Principal know in writing when registering with the school by submitting an email to the Principal. If parents do not wish for their children to be recorded in LoveBallet Shows, those pupils will not be able to take part in the recorded performance.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

The appropriate use of touch is required during class for correction and demonstrating exercises or techniques to aid learning and prevent injury during class. If in the case of minor incidents first aid needs to be administered, the teacher will contact the parent immediately using the emergency contact numbers provided by the parent/guardian on registration. Please ensure this information is kept up to date in your membership area of the website.

LoveBallet Dance Company take no responsibility for any injury occurring, during or after classes, although great care is taken by its teachers to avoid such an occurrence.

When a parent registers their child with the school, it is their responsibility to inform the school of any medical illness or condition that may affect the pupil's ability during classes.

LoveBallet Dance Company use social media to celebrate the achievements of its students and to promote its classes. If you do not wish your child to be photographed or recorded, please inform the school during the registration process.
